Never Being Alone Again with Vivienne Campbell

Plants have a transformative power. Meadowsweet... Daisies... transport us into a joyful, childhood energy. In this conversation, we acknowledge our place a part (one part) of nature and how we can learn from plants by paying attention to their thriving and connect to them... and thus to ourselves...

'When you realise that you’re part of nature, it’s not just learning about it, when you realise that you actually are nature... when you link back into all of this, you’re never on your own again'

Vivienne Campbell is a herbalist, forager, and natural cosmetic-maker. She is a passionate teacher of the wonder of herbs and how to use them ‘safely, effectively, and joyfully’. Growing up on the west coast of Scotland, Vivienne knew from a young age that there was something special about herbs and important about a whole foods diet: her family were a good influence: they had their ration books in the health food shop in Glasgow. In 2003 she qualified as Medical Herbalist and soon after moved to Ireland to start her herbal medicine clinic. She has since been inspiring people to look at the wild world a bit differently through conferences, documentaries, and her courses.

About the show

We offer a series of conversations to tap into the wildness within ourselves and to uncover what is possible when we do. It is our hope that through the WorldWild Podcast we can contribute to the revitalisation of wild food culture and conversation around the world.

Through people who know their landscapes intimately, we gather the threads to weave a rich tapestry. Piece by piece the vision of a wilder world comes into view. The wild embrace of nature welcomes us back and offers us a seat at the table. A feast, no less!
